Person of the Year Award 2018

Some well deserved and great news for an outstanding Arklow ambassador.

The Arklow Chamber President Mr. Donal Murray has announced the 2018 “Person of the Year Award” will be presented to well known Arklow athlete and hero, Mary Nolan Hickey.

On January 1st 2018, Mary departed on her “Lap of the Map” challenge to fundraise for the RNLI, by running anti-clockwise around the coast of Ireland.

Mary arrived back in Arklow on the 14th of April having covered more than1,509 miles (57 marathons) in 104 days at age 65.

Mary raised €72,000.

Sponsored by Servier Arklow Ireland Industries, this award regonises Mary's outstanding contribution to Arklow. Mary will be presented with this exceptional award at the Arklow & District Chamber Ball & Business Awards 2018 on Friday the 14th September in the Arklow Bay Hotel.

Members and non-members are welcome to attend.

The Arklow & District Chamber Ball promises to be a wonderful night to celebrate all that is good about business in Arklow and the surrounding area.
