South Wicklow Drama Festival

South Wicklow Drama Festival was founded in 2005 which was opened Carnew born, Loughlin Deegan, (Playwright/Artistic Director of The Lir, National Acadamy of Dramatic Art, Trinity College).

The Festival has hosted a wide variety of plays, performed by talented Drama Groups from all over the country. Each ear, the Festival enjoys packed houses.

Many of the Open and Confined groups that participate in the South Wicklow Drama Festival progress to win in their section in the All Ireland Finals.

Glen Fuels Encourages Creativity

At Glen Fuels we encourage people of all ages to find one creative outlet as drama, music and library activities lead to improved literacy and mathematical skills in young people and help restore joie de vivre in adults.

2019 Festival

Sponsored by Altura Credit Union Ltd in Carnew, the 2019 South Wicklow Drama Festival runs from March 15th - 23rd and will welcome Tinahely Variety Group, Wexford Drama Group, Skibbereen Theatre Society, Gorey Little Theatre Group, Kilmuckridge Drama Group, Kilrush Drama Group, Bunclody/Kilmyshall Drama Group, Bridge Drama and Lislea Dramatic Players.
