With the Glen Fuels Budget Plan you know your oil is paid for before you order it.

The Glen Fuels Budget Plan is for someone who is looking to budget for their oil over the year and not have the worry of finding a large (or small) amount of money on the day of delivery or when you need oil in a hurry.

So how does it work?

• You fill out a Glen Fuels Budget Plan Form and direct debit mandate.
• You pay a downpayment of €300 by cash or card - this nearly covers the first delivery of 500 litres and gives you a head start on the budget plan -  we deliver your first 500 litres of oil.
• After your 2nd or 3rd direct debit if you need another 500 litres; you can contact the office and we will arrange a delivery.
• The Budget Plan for Homeowner has deliveries capped at 500 litres unless there is credit to cover the balance or the homeowner pays the balance.
• The Budget Plan for Tenant allows the householder to order oil to the value accumulated on account or pay the balance.
• The minimum delivery is 500 litres and you can order any amount of oil above that once the credit/cash covers it.
• As with all Budget Plans if you require oil but your account has an outstanding amount that the payments do not cover over next few months you may be asked to pay the balance owed or pay cash on delivery for your oil order.

When is the direct debit called?

The Direct Debit is called on either the 5th or 20th of the month (you choose the date). The minimum recommended amount is €90 per month based on an the average house. If the size of your house or if your oil usage is above average, you can set a higher amount from the start or, if you find €90 is not enough after a few months, can increase the direct debit amount. Please feel free to ask us and we will do our best to help you figure it out.

Does this run throughout the year?

You can sign up for the Budget Plan at anytime throughout the year but the Budget Plan officially runs from 1st July - 30th June each year.  So at the end of June if you owe an amount you will be required to pay the balance and then you will be starting a new heating season afresh.

You can cancel your Budget Plan at any time once there is nothing owing on the account. If there’s money outstanding you will be required to pay the balance. If you cancel your Budget Plan and then a few months/year(s) later wish to start up again, you will have to complete the process from the start.

All deliveries are delivered at the price of the oil on the day. As the price of oil fluctuates so much, it's not possible deliver 500 litres today and again in a few weeks/months' time at the same price as the original order.

You will receive a statement every three months by email so don’t forget to include your email address.
