Since 1986 Glen Fuels has specialised in the distribution of oil products to the domestic, agricultural and commercial sectors.

Glen Fuels depots are located within a 10 minute drive of the M11/M50. The M50 corridor allows for strategic distribution of Glen Fuels products and services.

From five depots, the Glen Fuels fleet delivers to counties Dublin, Wicklow, Wexford, Carlow, Kilkenny and Waterford.

Reporting to the general manager, the role will be primarily responsible for: 

Routing:

• Manage all areas of the transport department to the highest standards
• Route and schedule deliveries across all sectors and distribution routes 
• Ensure rotas are reviewed regularly and plans in place for key peak periods

Fleet Management:

• Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure road worthiness and compliance 
• Ensure all equipment is maintained and repaired to company standards and damages are recorded according to procedures
• Maintain all relevant records
• Carry out spot checks on company vehicles and depots 

Team Management: 

• Ensure drivers qualifications and training are current and correct
• Manage the team of supervisors and drivers 
• Staff appraisals, people management and conduct issues 
• Ensure the department complies with company audit and legal standards
• Deputise on behalf of the general manager and depot managers during times of annual leave or absence

Experience, Skills and Education:

• Strong IT skills
• Detail oriented
• Highly organised  
• Strong team leader
• Full driver's license 
• Customer services and sales focused
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in the transport and distribution sectors, preferably in a similar role   

Magnus™ Monitors:

• Co-ordinate customer availability to schedule installation
• Provide customers with technical support 
• Oversee installation of remote monitoring systems at customer locations.
• Ensure proper setup and functionality across the domestic, agricultural and commercial sectors
