Peace of Mind and a Warm Home

The Glen Fuels Budget Plan is for someone interested in budgeting for their annual home heating oil usage and spreading the cost out over 12 months.

This eliminates the worry of finding a large (or small) amount of money on the day when you need oil in a hurry.

With the Glen Fuels Budget Plan you have a peace of mind knowing your oil is paid for before you get it.

So how does it work?

You fill out a Glen Fuels Budget Plan application and direct debit mandate form, click here.

You pay a one off downpayment of €300 by cash or card, which almost covers the first delivery of 500 lts (the balance is rolled into the monthly direct debit). 

Once the direct debits kicks in, you immediately gain head start on heating oil bills.

Once we have received two consecutive direct debits, you can place another order of 500 litres.

The Budget Plan for homeowners has deliveries capped at 500 litres unless there is credit to cover the balance or the homeowner pays the balance.

The Budget Plan for tenants requires that tenants draw down on the value of accumulated credit.

The minimum delivery is 500 litres and you can order any amount of oil above that once the credit covers it.

As with all Budget Plans if you require oil but your account has an outstanding amount that the payments will not cover in the coming months; you may be required to pay the balance owed or pay for the oil ordered.

When is the direct debit called?

The direct debit is called on either the 5th or 20th of the month - you choose.  The minimum recommended value is €90 per month based on an average house.

Some households require more oil and we can recommend a higher amount from the start or the €90 can be increased.

Does this Run Throughout the Year?

You can sign up for the Budget Plan at anytime throughout the year but the Budget Plan officially runs from 1st July - 30th June annually. If at the end of June you owe an amount, you will be required to pay the balance to bring your account to €0 balance so that you start a new heating season in the clear and you gain a three month head start on the heating oil season.

You can cancel your Budget Plan any time once there is nothing owing on the account. If there’s money outstanding you will be required to pay the balance. If you cancel your Budget Plan and then a few months/year(s) later wish to start up again, you will be required to complete the process from the start.

All deliveries are subject to the price of the oil on the day. As oil fluctuates so much it's not possible deliver 500 litres today and again in a few weeks/months time at the same price.

You will receive a statement every three months by email so don’t forget to supply your email address.
